However, did you know that you could also use it to treat dry eyes? Turmeric has a component called curcumin, which is rich in anti-inflammatory properties.
And applying turmeric around your eyes reduces the inflammation in your eyes, which helps you seal the problem of dry eyes at the source. If you do not wish to apply turmeric as a pack around your eyes, you could mix a few spoons of it to your milk and consume it every night. You could also prepare turmeric tea or add it to your meals and consume it every day.
Coconut oil is an edible oil that has numerous medicinal properties. Besides being a popular way to clean the makeup off your skin and moisturize it throughout, you could also use coconut oil to soothe your stressed eyes.
Massage a few drops of coconut oil around your eyes. There are many benefits to this, including better blood circulation and reduced inflammation. Besides that, it also repairs the damaged skin cells around your eyes.
Besides that, the vitamins and minerals in coconut oil also nourish your eyes and reduce dry eyes by restoring the tear glands to health. You could also use organic virgin coconut oil as eye drops.
Put a few drops of this oil in your eyes and blink a few times as you let your eyes soak in the oil. Remember that it might slightly hurt initially, and your vision might be hazy, but if you rest your eyes for a few minutes, just like you would do after applying regular eye drops, you would observe a difference!

This is because the soothing and anti-inflammatory properties of chamomile tea relax your strained eyes, restores moisture, and reduces the irritation caused by dryness. Add a handful of dried chamomile herb, add it to hot water, leave it in the refrigerator to cool overnight. Soak a cotton pad in this cold mixture and apply it to your eyes.
You could also freeze chamomile tea bags and place them on your eyes. Wash it off after a few minutes with cold water. Do this a few times every day to reduce your eyes’ stress and get rid of the dryness. These are just a handful of home remedies that could provide instant relief from dry eyes. However, if the condition persists, visit a doctor as dry eyes could indicate some other serious medical condition.
