Dana Hill – Diabetes

The popular American actress became known for her portrayal of Audrey Griswold in the comedy film, National Lampoon’s European Vacation, in 1985. Since childhood, Dana had struggled with Type 1 diabetes, and the disease was eventually the trigger that led to her death at only 32 years of age.

She suffered a paralytic shock in 1996 and died almost immediately. Aside from the role of Audrey Griswold, she is best remembered as the voice of Jerry in Tom and Jerry: The Movie, among other notable roles. Despite her estimated fortune of $5 million before her death, she couldn’t find any lifesaving treatment for her problem.
