Pat Morita – KIDNEY FAILURE

Pat Morita was one of the most popular and talented Asian-American actors of all time. He gained immense fame for playing Mr. Miyagi in The Karate Kid films. He lent his voice for the Emperor of China in Mulan, a 1998 animated film by Disney and garnered popularity with his portrayal of Ah Chew in the popular American sitcom Sanford and Son.

Sadly, on November 24, 2005, he died of kidney failure at 73. He neither faced bankruptcy nor did he visit a drug rehab throughout his life, and we hope he had his financial affairs sorted out for the loved ones he left behind.
