Jonathan Brandis – Suicide

 

Jonathan Brandis debuted as Kevin Buchanan in One Life to Live, a soap opera on ABC, and went on to become a teen idol for his roles in The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter and SeaQuest DSV. He had a lot going for him, but when he grew up, his career went downhill.

It caused him to suffer from depression according to his friends, and eventually, he took his own life. If only they all helped him go to therapy or counseling, he might still be around. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Bill Nunn – LEUKEMIA

Bill Nunn appeared in more than 70 different shows and movies, but his most famous participation was as Radio Raheem in the movie Do the Right Thing, and also as Robbie Robertson in the Spider-Man movie.

He kickstarted his film career with School Daze, a Spike Lee flick and made stellar appearances in films such as The Last Seduction, Canadian Bacon, and Runaway Jury. Sadly, when he was only 62 years old, Bill Nunn died of leukemia on September 24, 2016. He never had any unhealthy habits, but there was nothing he could do.

Alexis Arquette – CARDIAC ARREST

Alexis Arquette was always known to be a hero, especially to the LGBT community. Most known for her gender transition, she made sure to fight and be active in supporting others in her community.

She was also a talented cabaret performer, actress, and underground cartoonist and touched many people’s lives with her activism. Unfortunately, she passed away on September 11, 2016, due to a sudden cardiac arrest caused by her HIV infection. Alexis never paid a visit to rehab facilities and surely had chalked out some big cash in her name.

Ron Glass – RESPIRATORY FAILURE

Even though Ron Glass had participated in tons of movies and TV shows, he was best remembered for his role as Det. Ron Harris in the hit sitcom, Barney Miller, and also when he played Derrial Book’s role in the show, Firefly, and Serenity, its sequel.

Ron lent his voice for the character of Randy Carmichael in Rugrats and All Grown Up!, a Nickelodeon series.  Unfortunately, Ron wasn’t meant to have a long and fruitful life ahead of him when he passed away on November 25, 2016, due to respiratory complications.

Laura Branigan – Brain Aneurysm

The American actress, singer, and songwriter received a platinum certification for her signature song “Gloria” in 1982. Aside from top-charting hits, singer Laura Branigan became famous for the soundtracks of the blockbuster hits Ghostbusters and Flashdance.

Tragically, she passed away on August 26, 2004 at the age of 47 due to an undiagnosed brain aneurysm. If only she sought medical help and received treatment earlier, she may still be with us today. She never faced financial hassles and had always stayed miles away from habits that could have damaged her health.
