Bigger Than The White House: Check Out The Cars & Houses Of The Most Important Politicians in U.S. History

Jimmy Carter – $167K, Plains, Georgia

The 39th President of the United States, Jimmy Carter, made quite the move after his presidency. After living in the White House for four years from 1977 to 1981, Carter and his family opted for something a little less ecstatic. They’ve settled into quite a cost-saving lifestyle having designed and built the ranch they are currently still calling home, in Plains, Georgia. The house includes two bedrooms, bathrooms, a beautiful outdoor seating area and has been estimated to be around $167k. It’s said that the couple has adopted such a frugal lifestyle that they have started making their own yogurt and even purchase their clothes from the dollar store. Nothing but respect to the former President and his First Lady!
