How John Legend Finally Overcame His Fear Of Water
Forty-year-old soulful singer John Legend has acquired a new skill, and that, too, with his 10-month old son Miles. What skill is that you ask? Well, he has finally learned how to swim. John hasn’t had swimming lessons since he was 5 years old, and he felt restricted since he didn’t know how to swim. And now, he is happy. He says, “I’m definitely not where I need to be, but I’m much better than where I was, and it’s only been a couple of months now. I’m excited. It’s so much fun to learn and to feel much more confident in the pool.”
It so happened that as a kid, he was scared to go to the deep end (not the water itself per se). Learning how to swim banished this fear, and the best part is that he did so with his family by his side. With wifey Chrissy Teigen, daughter Luna and son Miles, John found swimming to be a fun activity, though he confesses that he still can’t float right and freestyle is more his thing than floating. John is otherwise quite active and healthy and hence didn’t have a problem with stamina on water. But when he recently learned of being more at risk for heart diseases because of his family’s history, he probably wanted to take cardio to the next level.
Well, we have got to learn something from this enthusiastic man. It is not easy to overcome fears, and John has done that after knowing about his health risk and also for his family. Judging by the videos posted on social media, he is doing a great job so far but needs to work on certain areas. We are sure that he is doing just that and will become a good swimmer soon. All it requires is self-discipline and looks like John has plenty of it.
