Chrissy Metz, an American actress and singer, stays notable primarily for her role as Kate Pearson in the famous TV series This is Us, which also helped her fetch the nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award and 2 Golden Globe Awards. It just goes to show that she aced that role, showing that she has what it takes to be a good actress. Metz had proved her mettle well as a singer in the band ‘Chrissy and The Vapors’ too.
Metz was on a blitzkrieg weight loss program. In her role as Barbara Wiggles on American Horror Story: Freakshow, she had to wear a fat suit which, according to her, was an eye-opener for her. She expressed that having to wear it made her rethink about her figure and how she wanted to be healthier. It has also been reported that Chrissy used to be slightly low on energy and also suffered from depression before her break in This is Us. It had resulted in her adding some 100 pounds, all of which she managed to lose with determination, exercise, and a balanced diet — surgery was no-no for this talented lady. And we can’t help but applaud at how well she has shaped her lifestyle now.
