Have You Met The Coolest New Mom In Town? Gabrielle Union Speaks Up On Parenting!
Even before the bundle of joy named Kaavia James Union Wade landed on her lap, Gabrielle Union was playing mother to her husband, NBA Star, Dwayne Wade and his two sons from his previous marriage. What she really wanted was a baby of her own. And she wanted to go through the entire process of getting pregnant. While she might have started the journey of being a mother later than other moms, the time has come and Gabrielle is doing all of the right things!
On Becoming A Mom
Becoming a mother didn’t happen easily for Gaby. Though she was pining to be one, years of IVF treatment failed completely, and the couple was highly disappointed with the turn of events. When they found out that Gabrielle was actually suffering from a disease called adenomyosis that prevented her from getting pregnant. However, with little Kaavia in her arms, everything felt right for the star couple. Gabrielle wants to be that cool mom who would let her kids learn everything by making mistakes and learning from them. Not being judgmental and instilling the right kind of morals in them might help them pick up the pieces, she thinks.
On Being Fit Both Mentally And Physically
Motherhood in your mid-forties might not be the best option, but for Gabrielle, there was no other option. She has been taking good care of herself all these years though. Gabrielle Union is the star of many Blockbuster classics, such as: Think Like A Man, Deliver Us From Eva, Almost Christmas, and more. She hits the gym with her other kids, get a lot of fresh air and finds a moment of quiet time in the morning. These are some of her survival tactics along with following a healthy diet!
She is truly an inspiration for everyone out there, struggling in some way but managing to balance it all – as most mothers do. Staying healthy, being kind and living life stress-free should be our goal too!
