Chanel Designer Karl Lagerfeld Dies, Leaving Behind a Very Pampered Cat
The world has lost an iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, who died at age 85 after losing a long battle with pancreatic cancer. Lagerfeld’s love for fashion saw him travel from Germany to Paris while he was still a teenager. There, Lagerfeld worked as a design assistant for the famous Pierre Balmain. In 1983, he joined Chanel after the death of Coco Chanel but just a year later, he started his own successful label.
The designer was always known for his unique sense of style whether it was through his fashion designs or his personal dressing sense. He transformed the industry with his imagination and made a name with his controversial fashion shows. Lagerfeld never married but owned a pampered cat, Choupette, who is now left alone after the designer passed away.
Choupette was everything to the late Chanel boss and got the best things any pet can dream of in life. The pampered cat loves shopping, owns an iPad and has two maids who groom, entertain, and take care of her every day.
Lagerfeld worked non-stop without taking a break until his death. But, he missed the January Chanel’s couture fashion show, and a few weeks later, the news broke that he lost his battle with cancer, after keeping his illness a secret from the public. The world of fashion may take time to replace him because there was only one Lagerfeld.
